Be a part of offering the gift of prayer to the community and visitors of Downpatrick. 24hr prayer rooms tend to have an inherent sense of God's presence: people who enter have the opportunity of receiving Jesus' peace and healing in their lives, praying for the needs of the world, and being prompted to mission upon their departure. You can help make it happen!
As hosts, your role will include welcoming visitors to the prayer room as they enter, ensuring the room is kept tidy and stocked with tea/coffee/biscuits, and being open to offering prayer to anyone who requests it. There should be at least two of you signing up together.
We recommend that you take on a two/three-hour stint (or longer, if you want to look after the room overnight!). You can sign up on a form online (hosted by irishmethodist.org, with thanks) or call Rev. Ross Harte (028) 4372 3474.
